The Windsor Cup.
The Windsor Cup was cast in 1963 and is nearing it's 50th birthday in 2013. The Cup is contested for on the last Saturday in June and only on the fly in the Waitahanui River. A long and colourful history is part of the appeal of fishing for the Cup and it is always wise to sort the truth from most of the stories each year.

Congratulations to Ben Pierce (a new-comer) who travelled a long way to enjoy his weekend. He was very dignified in victory and was very appreciative of the History of the Cup and what it meant to have his name placed on it.
2009's event was on June 27 and there were participants from all over New Zealand....from Auckland to Dunedin and in between.
Some great Supporters were involved this year to help make the event a fun time and one to remember as the Cup moves towards it's Jubilee.
